Advocating for Pets’ Well-Being
“Pets enrich our lives without asking for anything in return. They offer unconditional love, and as pet owners, we want to ensure we’re providing the best care for them.”
As the medical director and owner of Boca Midtowne Animal Hospital, Dr. Boaz Man has spent over two decades in veterinary medicine. His dedication to animals extends beyond medical treatment—he believes in advocating for both their physical and emotional health, as well as supporting the families who care for them.
“Being a veterinarian is about more than medical knowledge; it’s about standing up for the well-being of every animal we treat.”
Dr. Man is passionate about the deep, transformative bond between humans and their pets—a relationship built on trust, companionship, and love. A dog offering quiet comfort during a tough day, a cat purring contentedly in its owner’s lap—these moments highlight why pets are more than just animals. They are confidants, protectors, and family members who inspire us to provide the best possible care.
Enhancing Veterinary Care Through Fear Free Practices
Dr. Man credits Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) with shaping his career and has given back by helping integrate Fear Free Certification into the veterinary curriculum. This program equips veterinary professionals with the skills to minimize fear and anxiety in pets during visits, creating a more positive experience for both pets and their owners.
“It was important to me that Fear Free training became part of the veterinary curriculum so students learn from the start how to support pets’ emotional well-being.”
His own practice, Boca Midtowne Animal Hospital, is a Fear Free-certified facility, meaning his entire team has undergone training to recognize and reduce fear, stress, and anxiety in their patients. Veterinary students at RUSVM now complete the same certification early in their education, reinforcing the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.
For Dr. Man, prioritizing emotional well-being is essential to the future of veterinary medicine.
“When pets come into our clinic, we’re not just treating their medical needs—we’re ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. Pet owners can trust that we’re doing everything we can to make their visits as stress-free as possible.”
