Dr. Boazman says when he opened up his practice at Boca Midtowne Animal Hospital, his goal was to make sure it was a fear-free and pain-free experience. (WPEC)

Now with a new technology called PainTrace, Man can achieve that mission every day.

“It allows us not only to recognize pain in pets but see it and quantify the pain in pets and make sure we can recognize the painful conditions,” said Man.

The new technology was created by BioTraceIT Ltd, and the device hooks up to your furry friends so veterinarians and researchers can now objectively visualize pain in real time.

Only five vets in the United States have the device at this time and Boaz Man is one of them. He recently was able to use the technology on a patient last week, Winston the cat.

“There were issues on multiple locations on the C2 and C3 there was some narrowing and some narrowing on the C6 and C7, and we wouldn’t have known that without PainTrace,” said Man.

BioTraceIT says on its website this research is vital. They are hoping to expand the rollout of these medical devices and pursue human FDA approval for people who have difficulty reporting pain. BOCA RATON, Fla.
